The Hooded Crow (Corvus cornix) (also called hoodiecrow) is a Eurasian bird species in the crow genus. Widely distributed, it is also known locally as Scotch crow, Danish crow, and corbie or grey crow in Ireland. Found across Northern, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as parts of the Middle East, it is an ashy grey bird with black head, throat, wings, tail and thigh feathers, as well as a black bill, eyes and feet. Like other corvids it is an omnivorous and opportunistic forager and feeder.
Captured in Wrocław ZOO last Sunday. :)
Today at the ZOO I saw 2 lynx sleeping on the grass. It's quite rare opportunity, most of the time they hide well from public. I stood for a while outside their cat walk before they made any move, but it was worth it. Such cute cats! :)
Uhh, finally! I took quite some time (over a year) to process couple of shots from 2013 edition of Thanks Jimi Festival that's being held in a beautiful city of Wrocław, Poland. 2013th edition did not have very good weather. It was very cold, a bit rainy, so there was no chance for another Guinness record. 5734 guitarists showed on Wrocław's main town square. The last record comes from 2014 edition (which I did not attend) with 7344 people playing. For more information check official website: http://en.heyjoe.pl/ . Click on the photo to see full story.
